QUALITY ASSURANCE & CONTROL
Quality Assurance vs Quality Control
At DCW Squared LLC we pride ourselves for being experts on both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC). You might ask yourself why we make this distinction – isn’t QA and QC the same thing? The answer is no. Traditionally the two terms are often wrongly used, are combined, or worse used interchangeably. QA and QC are two separate columns making up the implementation part of a Total Quality Management System.
Simply put, Quality Assurance covers the development, implementation, review and audit of means and methods to assure a quality deliverable. Whereas Quality Control is the process of following the before mentioned by education, checking, testing, evaluating and recording the process which will lead to a quality deliverable. DCW Squared, LLC’s quality experts are well versed in both processes for many different applications during the project progression
Many of the same or similar QA and QC functions are found in every phase of the project work process. Which include design and engineering, procurement and award, construction, commissioning, handover, warranty and maintenance. We believe that both QA and QC must be as robust as possible and must be able to operate autonomously, as much as possible, from the production side of the program. The Quality managers should be at the same level as Project Managers, or at least not be supervised by someone outside the Project Managers chain of command.
DCW Squared, LLC offers QA/QC services suited for you needs. We can be available to compose QA/QC plans for self-implementation by you or your representative or contractor. We can consult at your projectas the QA or QC Representative or conduct QA as your Program/Project Manager overseeing you Prime and or General Contractors QC efforts.
